Young lion Simba is destined one day to take over for his father, King Mufasa, but his power-hungry uncle Scar causes Simba to leave the kingdom in shame. In exile, the prince makes new friends - warthog Pumbaa and meerkat Timon - and matures. Then, when word spreads of Scar's abusive reign, he must decide if he should return to reclaim his rightful place.
